Macrogroan 7

Macrogroan 7 http://bit.ly/2cKDVTK is a 40-page, B&W (with 4 full color pages and cover), digest size anthology written and illustrated by Sara Lautman. Published by Birdcage Bottom Books

Sara Lautman fills the 40 pages of this comic with standalone strips, rendered diary entries, and fictional shorts. She ask why food manufacturers mess with almonds, takes a look at liking stuff, reacts to an unknown voice in the dark, and visits a post office, just to mention a few of the subjects covered! Sara’s artwork has a great sketchy quality to it. Kind of messy but full of interesting detail that invites the viewer to study each line. The handwritten lettering, ghost images, smudges, and loosely defined outlines all give the comic an overall DIY aesthetic that adds to its charm!
