Revolt To What
Revolt To What is a 24-page, professionally printed, square size, B&W comic with spot color and full color covers, written by Daniel Landes and illustrated by Karl Christian Krumpholz. Published by Suspect Press http://on.fb.me/1HhRS70
Shortly after the Berlin Wall fell signaling the end of communism in Eastern Europe, the “Velvet Revolution” took place in Czechoslovakia. This comic tells the story of a young American in Prague just after the Velvet Revolution and the influence and conflict westerners and their capitalism brought to the area.
Daniel’s writing takes the reader back to a time when the world was changing and an uncertain but anticipated brighter future was just beyond the horizon. As the story unfolds that future begins to reveal itself and its unrecognized potential. Karl’s art is clean and full of dark and gray expressive lines that capture the east European, post communist mood.
