Across these three issues we are introduced to Chief Inspector Chevalier, the super sleuth Elijah Snugs, and his trusty assistant Winston. After the suspicious death of a wealthy fowl, the Chief Inspector calls upon the great detective Elijah Snugs to help solve the case. Elijah, Winston and the Chief Inspector soon set out to interview known associates, explore forests, and search caves all in an effort to solve the case of “Mystery of the Factious Fraternity!” 

Sal illustrates this series with clean, polished lines that gives us cute and cartoony animal characters assuming human roles and responsibilities in a familiar world ran by our furry farmyard friends. Sal writes this story like a straight detective tale complete with shady characters, mysterious settings, and murder! He keeps the suspense and intrigue going by sprinkling clues throughout that nicely tie all of the plot’s elements together for a fitting conclusion!
