size, hand-lettered, B&W newsprint interior with full color glossy covers, ADULTS ONLY,
entertainment zine focused on reviews of classic films in the exploitation,
blaxploitation, sexploitation, horror, and porn genres. Created and edited by
Robin Bougie.
In this issue of Cinema Sewer Robin treats all of us connoisseurs of carnality to a smorgasbord of obscure and underground entertainment! We first get a glimpse at what Beetlejuice would have been like if the original script had been followed. Then we learn about the fetish scene of women that can accommodate larger than average, um sizes, and the info comes from a firsthand accounting! Then we get an interesting and informative listing of porn stars that got into politics. Following that is an intriguing review of Indonesia’s 1988 Lady Terminator! And in the last couple pages of Cinema Sewer we’re even given a full page piece on Requiem for a Dream’s ass-to-ass scene, complete with a beautiful drawing honoring the scene! In between all of the above mentioned bits Robin includes a look at 25 good horror sequels, a little Exorcist (the movie) seral killer trivia, interviews with Adult Film stars Hyapatia Lee and Jewel De’Nyle, a descriptive review of the 4 most memorable three-ways in mainstream movies, a great write-up on Family Guy’s abuse of Meg, and bunches and bunches of Robin Bougie’s exquisite drawings and cartoons!
I really can’t say enough good things about this rag! It has the feel and look (and smell, love that newsprint!) of a well done zine. Not only is it full of neat info, but it also has plenty of awesome drawings and cartoons either accompanying articles or running alongside them. This is one of the few print publications keeping the underground culture alive!
