The Collected Pander Bear
The Collected Pander Bear https://www.nix-retail.com/ is
a 28-page, black and white interior, glossy full color cover, square size,
comic collection featuring Pander Bear. Written by Ken Eppstein and illustrated
by Bob Ray Starker. Published by Nix Comics.
The Collected Pander Bear
features the entire run of the 2011-2012 webcomic with updated art and
lettering, and a cartoon previously only seen by retailers in the 2012 Nix
Comics wholesale catalog. The stories that make up this comic are
short, mostly 4-panel, glimpses into the losing efforts of Pander Bear to sell Nix
Comics. Each strip is well written with wit and charm that befits the
lovable loser, Pander Bear. The art makes the character even more endearing,
perfectly capturing the underdog essence that is both Pander Bear and the indie
comics he represents. To complete Pander Bear he is written and drawn as a
down-on-his-luck alcoholic stuck in a stinky mascot’s outfit. The whole thing
works beautifully and make for a really entertaining comic that you’ll crave
more of!
The Collected Pander Bear is
available as a comic and record set, or a comic only version. The comic and
record set includes a vinyl 45 featuring “pandeized” covers of Cheap Trick and
Stiv Bators by cartoonist Matt Wyatt’s band The 3 Speeds.
