Monster Versus The Pop Culture Nihilists #1 is an 8-page, B&W mini comic created by Colin Upton.

In this short mini Colin gives us an eyeglass wearing monster at a laptop engaging in an online debate over the Charlie Hebdo attacks. Colin manages to address the senseless violence through a series of satirical exchanges between his characters culminating in an unexpected but fitting punchline.

Colin’s writing is funny and takes on some common cultural and religious ignorance. His illustrative style consist of neatly detailed bold line work and his layout, lettering, and word placement all help move the story forward and entertain the reader.
