Strange Streets #5
Strange Streets #5 http://buff.ly/2cF2vI9 is a 20-page, standard size, silent B&W comic with color covers, written and illustrated by Ryan Quackenbush.
This issue opens in what looks like a late 19th century/early 20th century city complete with cobblestone roads, multi-storied buildings, and a horse drawn wagon. As the story unfolds two actors in costume close the show at the final curtain call of the last day. Our mysterious stranger from the previous issues emerges from the shadows with flowers for the leading actress. Off stage and beneath electric light the two find solace in each other.
Ryan’s illustrative style is a must see. Each panel contains so much detail it’s easy to get lost in the lines. Ryan’s skills demonstrates his mastery of the art and a true understanding of storytelling through imagery!
