Mother Russia #2
Mother Russia #2 https://www.alternacomics.com/motherrussia
is a 36-page B&W, action-horror comic written and illustrated by Jeff
McComsey. Published by Alterna Comics and FUBAR Press.
At the end of WWII in the ruins of Stalingrad the Russian sniper known as “Mother Russia” finds herself, and the toddler she recently rescued, indebted to a German soldier and his dog. The war for them has ended as all communications with the outside world has been cutoff and the dead have risen! Now, surrounded by the undead, these enemies must trust each other and work together to survive!
Jeff McComsey continues his story of war, horror, and survival in this unique zombie tale that puts the human drama front and center as the world falls apart. In this issue we learn more about the German soldier and how he’s managed to endure the onslaught of the undead. Jeff’s writing flows like a natural conversation between the characters. No awkward transitions or unnecessary dialogue. Jeff keeps the story moving and interesting from page to page with each character having their own voice. To top off everything Jeff accomplishes through the writing, he also illustrates Mother Russia with an eye for detail that brings expression and emotion to every page!
